David and his wife Bobbie founded Coton Green Community Church. Originally from Motherwell, David completed an apprenticeship in engineering before attending Bible college and moving to London. He and Bobbie married and ministered in churches there until in 1968 they moved to Tamworth, where they raised their four children. David had a vision from God for a church of 1,000 worshippers and in the 1980s the church was able to buy some land on the outskirts of Tamworth. Almost a decade later, The Coton Centre was finished and David ministered as lead pastor. He retired after serving for 50 years and became Pastor Emeritus in 2022. He continues to worship at Coton Green Community Church and is still involved in the services.

David has been in Christian ministry for 60 years, having planted a significant church in Solihull, David has also given national leadership to three denominations, trains chaplains and founded the Order of St Leonard. Preaching and teaching in many countries, he has seen many find faith, healing and direction. With Molly his wife, David came to Coton as a Consultant Pastor, to help develop its future growth. David & Molly have three children and four grandchildren.
